Board of Directors

Justin Edwards – Founder and Director of WSO, Justin earned his B.A. in Performance, Production & Culture from Bowling Green State University with a stint in Film Production at the University of Texas at Austin in 2002. In 2006, he received his M.Ed. from BGSU in Career & Technology Education. After working at Pepperdine University as Multimedia Producer, Justin left in 2008 to create WSO and move to Kenya to plant the seeds for WSO’s first film production and storytelling programs.

Dr. Terry Herman – Terry is Assistant Professor of Technology at Bowling Green State University. Terry received her Ed.D. from BGSU and teaches courses in multimedia technology and education. She is also the Graduate Coordinator for the Learning Design program at BGSU.

Allen Haren – Allen is Manager of Multimedia Services and Senior Broadcast Engineer at Pepperdine University. He received his M.A. in Educational Technology in 2007 from Pepperdine. He shares his love for video production, editing, and photography with current college interns and one day hopes to teach young people the power of storytelling through visual arts.

Dr. Bruce Edwards – Bruce is Professor of English and Africana Studies, and Associate Vice Provost for Academic Technology at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, where has he been a faculty member and administrator since 1981.

Stephen Jenkins – Stephen is an Instructional Design & Education Specialist at Bowling Green State University. He received his M.Ed. in Career & Technology Education from BGSU in 2006.

Abram Loper – Abram is the Executive Director of the Young Professionals of Central Virginia. He graduated from Albion College with a B.A. in English and Visual Arts in 2001.

Harmon Parker – Harmon is the Founder and Director of Bridging the Gap, Inc., an organization that builds footbridges from marginalized communities in East Africa. Harmon recently wrapped up the Galana River Footbridge Project, the largest suspension footbridge ever built in Africa.
